Suzuran, a mother with a prep school student son, one day returns from shopping to find a young man crouched at her doorstep. It's Toru, her son's friend. He seems to have left home after a fight with his parents, wandering from friend's houses to manga cafes, and apparently spent last night on the riverbank as he ran out of money. Despite Toru's situation, Suzuran warmly welcomes him with a meal, but hunger for physical affection drives Toru to attack her.
