Since divorcing her husband, Mother Momoko has been living with her son Yuga, raising him single-handedly and working hard. Yuga has grown up healthy and has become a student aiming for a top university. From here on out, all the hardships should be rewarded, and with Yuga becoming a working adult, a happy life awaits... or so it should have been. As the summer approaches with Yuga's graduation slated for next year, the Isshiki family holds a career consultation with his homeroom teacher, Takimoto. After a promising three-way meeting, Momoko is left alone in the classroom and is told, "There is a problem with Yuga's further education."
